Hey! So it's really easy to feel completely lost when you're starting your Wedding Registry. There's so much out there, but what do you really need to register for?
Martha Stewart and I have this collab Pinterest board filled with tons of ideas for your registry. Check it out here, or read this post for some must-haves and tips for you!
Tip #1: Don't go overboard on on Stores!
To keep it simple for your guests, its best to stick to 2-3 common stores with nation-wide chains. This makes it easier to find for your guests, and it keeps everything simpler for you. There's no need to fuss over one more thing before your big day!
Bed Bath and Body works is a great example because it's a super well known store, it has a TON of different kinds of stuff, and it has a wide range of prices for everyone.
65-pc. Flatware set $59.99, Bed Bath & Beyond
$174.99, Bed Bath & Beyond
Tip #2: Base your list around your guests!
Since Wedding Registries are based towards your guests, it makes sense to keep them in mind while making it. That doesn't mean you assign each individual person an item or anything like that, but rather keep in mind the number of guests, the number of items you register for, and the price range of your items. Give them a selection of possible things to buy, so that way they aren't overwhelmed, and you can assure them that you'll enjoy their gifts.
$109.99 - $670.00, Macy's
Tip #3: Don't Limit your Registration!
Don't feel like you have to limit your registration to stuff you'll use often enough to show off! It's always a good idea to plan ahead for Holidays and occasional events. You can register for more than just the bare necessities!
$103.00 from West Elm
$29.00 from West Elm
$138.99, Cru Dinnerware
Tip #4: Write your Thank-You Notes RIGHT away!
Worrying about a long, difficult task is never fun. Get them done fast so you don't have to worry about them. Also, you'll probably find that it's a lot of fun to say thank you! You can personalize it and tell all the people you love about why you love them. It's refreshing to you and them!
... You might not want to put the stationary on your registry though! ;)
Tip #5: Keep your hubby involved!
The big day is about the BOTH of you anyway! Maybe your special someone isn't picky, but it's still a good idea to run your picks by him. The last thing you want is to start off your marriage without communication! Keep him involved, and you'll do great!
Congratulations! And Good Luck!
