Perfect Summer Margarita

A Smoky Hibiscus Margarita that is the PERFECT touch to your summer parties!

I have been working on getting some great weekend parties scheduled with friends and family, and I am also planning the delicious drinks I will be creating for my guests!

This perfect summer drink recipe I got was from Camille Styles, and it is just FABULOUS! I think that the color adds the spicy summer flare to any party scene!!! :-)

Serves 8

For the hibiscus simple syrup:

2 cups sugar

2 cups water

1 cup dried hibiscus petals, any color

For the margarita batch:

12 oz tequila

6 oz lime

4 oz hibiscus simple syrup

4 oz cointreau

4 oz ancho reyes

pinch of salt

For the hibiscus simple syrup:

  1. Add the water and sugar into a saucepan, bring to a boil.
  2. Take off heat and add hibiscus petals, let soak for up to 15 minutes.
  3. Strain out the petals.
  4. You can store up to 1 week in an airtight container.

For the margarita:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a pitcher and stir.
  2. Rim the glasses with a chili-salt mixture (optional), and fill with ice.
  3. Pour and enjoy!

HUGE shoutout for Camille Styles for sharing this awesome drink because this has simply been one of my favorite summer drinks, and it has been a fan favorite among my friends & family too! :-) Enjoy!!
