Austin Restaurant Review: Mia's Italian Tapas

Hey!

So Austin is a wonderful place to live, there's live music, trendy restaurants, beautiful parks, and much more. Once you get past the traffic, it can be a really great place for a couple's date or a girl's night out.

That's exactly what brought me to Mia's Italian Tapas!

It's a great up-scale place for brunches and dinners. Mia's is in the Domain, so it's perfect for a end-of-the-shopping-day meal.

Ambiance:

Mia's is halfway between a bar and a restaurant. It's more mature than most bars in the area, yet more casual than your typical dinner place.

If you are looking for something a little more laid back, I suggest eating there for brunch. They have a spectacular brunch menu and at night it can get quite busy inside. Eat outside if it's a nice day :)

Service:

The service for us was fairly fast and very friendly. The waitresses were very helpful and informative as well!

Food:

I have regrets! I got the smoked salmon on a bagel, and don't get me wrong, it was good! BUT MAN. One of my girlfriends got the fig pizza and offered me a slice.

That was GOOD!!!!

If you're a sweet person, a fig person, or any combination of the two, GET THE FIG PIZZA! It's a little spunky, but it was AMAZING!

As far as the drinks went, we all got $2 Mimosas. There wasn't much exploring to be done, but they were just the perfect amount of sweet! Cheers to a good meal!

All and all, I give Mia's 4 out of 5 stars. The food is above average (especially the fig pizza ;)) and the service was good!

My advice to prospective dinners here: Eat outside, get the brunch menu, and don't forget that fig pizza!!!!

Cheers!
